Anyone Using "New" cub Cadets

I have a lawn tractor that is starting to wear out and hope to replace it in the near future. I am considering the GT 2100 with a fabricated deck. I'm tired of working on stamped decks that rust out or develop metal fatigue and get cracks and broken off parts. It seems every mower I see are older mowers that have been restored. While that is great, I want something i can jump on and mow, not a "rehabilitation project". Does anyone have a "newer" CC or have experience with the 2000 series? If so, what's your opinion.

No experience here but I've heard nothing but good things about the GtX 2100. That said the x310 from deere is comparable and cheaper. Cub has electric lift and power steering. The deere is hydraulic. Deere has a stamped deck but it is included in the $3999 msrp. The cub is $4299 and doesn't include a deck but it has the fabled option.

Me personally I'd rather have hydraulic systems than electric for long term use but the cub is a good option if you're really brand loyal.

A big "plus' for the Cub, a driveshaft instead of a belt. Tired of replacing belts, especially when belts are not made to be easily replaced. The mower I have now, my son-in-law calls a "5-year mower', use it 5 years and it's worn-out, so you replace it.

Just my 2 cents but for that kind of $$$$$$ you can own a killer Super with a 60" Haban and have plenty of $$$ left over. You can have this one for $2500.00

Most of us on here have "older" machines. At least all the dependable ones are older..... Sam hit the nail on the head. For the kind of $ you are looking to spend, you should be able to find a good running older (15-20yrs) that is in fine working shape. We find them all the time!!

Not to :beatdeadhorse: but this is the kind of stuff you can get for that kind of $$$$ http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=27273 sorry it's Green but it's a good piece.

I checked out the X310. sounds like a great machine. However, I'm mowing a 4 acre yard. right now I have a 48 inch deck and really don't want to give up that much deck. I want to "Go Big". 54 inch deck. It takes over two hours to mow now with a 48".

I guess if I was mowing that much acerage I would seriously be looking at a Ferris ZTR or some thing equivalent.

Only answer to that question is no, no new stuff. old one still isn't worn out after 50 years

Gtx 2100

The option of new or old is up to you which ever speaks the loudest to you, I myself bought a new GTX 2100 with 54" fab deck this season great machine no problems. I myself own old cars and old harleys don't have a problem getting my hands dirty just wanted a new Cub.
