Wanted: Pros-Cons on a bagger for a 2154

Considering the purchase of a bagger to fit my GTX2154 and would sure welcome some input from anyone with experience with one of 'em. Good?? Bad?? worth the $$ whatever.

Don't get me wrong, I love working w/my old iron but this mower really rocks and I'm really not looking forward to a week of raking and hauling leaves etc.

Thanks!

Bagger

While I have no specific information about your model, I do have some experience with a bagger on a Craftsman GT I used to own. Bagger was great for grass, horrible for leaves. It would fill up so quickly it would be almost worthless. It just did not chop the leave fine enough to efficiently bag them. I had better luck putting my mulching kit and blades on the deck and just mulching them into the lawn.

If I had a lawn with a lot of leaves I would purchase a "trailer mounted" bagging system with it's own dedicated blower. Lot less chance of plugging, and it also is one more stage the grinds up the leaves. But these are far more expensive than a traditional bagger.

Just my $.02,
-Ryan
