KT-17 Series 1 - Is the case aluminum?
 

Just wondering. Is the engine case and front cover aluminum, or some other alloy? I'm considering recycling my blown KT-17 Series 1 engine case by melting it down and using it to cast some other things. I've tried to sell it, but who needs an engine case for a poorly designed obsolete engine with a hole in it? I think my pistons and rod may end up in the same pot, so to speak.

Yes, it is cast aluminum.
