1211 hydro oil change
 

I need to change the hydro oil in my 1211,below and off to the side of the filter appears to be a drain plug,is that where you drain the hydro and rear? My 1211 has a 3pt hitch cover on the rear,fill tube under the seat. Looked in service manual and couldn't find info on a drain plug . Have found a few threads on here and believe that is the drain plug,wanted to ask those who know more than I do. Any advice on changing would be great! Thanks ! :beerchug:

Post a pic and I'll tell you for sure, but yes, it sounds like the drain plug. The aluminum rears had a plug.

If you are not going to pull the rear cover off try to get the back end raised up so that it drains as much out of it as possible. I like to put my tractors up on a set of ramps like in the pic. The drain plug is in the front on the aluminum rears next to the suction tube on the Sundstrand pumps and it is in the front on the bottom of the Hydro gear pumps just behind the filter. Pic is a Sundstrand unit.
