Coating the chute of a snowthrower?
I'm getting a QA42 snowthrower for my 123 and was wondering what to use to make the chute nice and slippery?
|
Make sure the back of the chute is smooth and I spray mine with the generic version of PAM cooking spray.

It may sound crazy, but on the east coast we use to use Sex Wax on our Snow plows and our hockey sticks. I learned it from a State plow driver. It's amazing you will have to do it a few times a year, but it will prevent any snow from sticking.
here is just one place to get it. http://www.nordboards.com/zogswax.ht...hannelid=FROOG http://www.drummerworld.com/forums/a...1&d=1384527243 And it will make your blade smell pretty.:biggrin2: |

I hear banana peals make a slippery coating..
Jeff in PA has the right idea,I just buy the in store brand as it is cheaper... |
The SexWax is intrigueing but, I think I'll go with the Pam.
|
Pam works well, I just like the wax because it last a lot longer. Good luck keep us posted.

I just use my blower. After a few hours the chute gets shined up. Just like running a plow. :beerchug:

Sex wax? I like the name.
But.............. Last year I gave my blade a shot of Pam stuff & seemed to work well. But did notice that it puked out after the the second time out & had to re-spray it. . Gonna mount the blower on my # 1250 & do the same & see what happens?:bigthink: NIK, |
