Welcome Kevin, hope to see more pics of your cub doing it's thing....
Looks like it has a 3 point on it?

kevin s sc 11-23-2013 08:04 PM

It came with a model 1 tiller and I think a 44 in deck. I've got the tiller on it now so I guess it has 3 pt.? It runs good but I think it needs a hydro fluid and filter change. I don't see that in the tech section though.

Make sure you get a filter designed for a cub cadet hydrostatic transmission. A regular oil filter does NOT have the correct valving to work correctly.

I highly suggest using Hy Tran as the factory did. Yes it's expensive but it encapsulates any water or moisture that makes it in the transmission to reduce the chance of corrosion. If you can't afford Hy Tran, make sure it is an equivalent.

Welcome to OCC Kevin

Nice 127! Yea, changing out the transmission fluid and filter sounds like a good idea. Have at least a two gallon drain pan handy when you open up the rear cover. I think the rear cover gasket is part number 350837 R3. And the filter would be part number 723-3014. Napa Auto would have a hydro filter and that part number would be 1084. I believe the capacity is a 7 quart capacity. Hy-Tran is correct, and a local Cub Cadet dealer will have the things as well.

Thanks for the pictures!
