Cub 1440 snow plow
I have recently inherited a Cub 1440, and am looking for a snow plow. I have seen many advertised describing the plow as for a "narrow frame" or "wide frame". Could anyone tell me if any of these will work on my 1440? Thanks.

The 1440 is a wide frame. Great tractor by the way. :beerchug:

I am very impressed by the tractor, thank you. Does that mean that a wide frame plow should fit on my tractor, or is there more specific info that i should need to know to be sure it will fit other than just "wide frame"? Thanks.

These drawings are from the Cub parts web site. This is the 54" blade.

Ok, could you identify the lift rod bracket that i will need on Sams diagram. Thanks. Also i have found a wide frame plow with hydraulic angle adjustment for $300 obo. Would this be adaptable to my tractor and is that a good price. Thanks for all the help.

Thanks very much! I have two other to look at, not sure if they have the lift rod bracket, but looks like i should be able to find those parts.

Well i picked up the snow plow with the hydraulic cylinder for $175, and sold the cylinder to a friend for $20, so i am into this plow for $155. I have ordered the lift arm bracket from the local dealer and it should be in next week. I was wondering if anyone has tried to replace the hydraulic cylinder with a linear actuator? Any thoughts on whether this might work? would the force from the plow overwhelm the actuator? Would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks again everyone.
