Which amp gauge is "correct" for 149?
I have recently acquired a 149 cub cadet and it has an aftermarket amp guage in it. Just wondering if anyone has a pic of the original guage so I know what kind to replace it with. I know it's kinda anal but little details like that matter to me lol. I spent a good hour yesterday taking out the previous owner modded toggle switch for the headlights and getting the original switch to work again lol. Also wondering what style tail lights would have came on it as well.
Thanks guys! |

all the early tractors used the same amp gauge as far as I can tell. I can't find a good picture of one, but it is simple with "D" on the left and "C" on the right side of the indicator needle.
I think these are the correct tail lights. |

A 15 Amp gauge with IH printed on the dial face.
A simple internet search brings this up... |

By part number they are the same as the QL series. Which, the part then changes numbers, and goes to a CCC number instead of IH, but I think they used the same basic flush mounted light from the 149 till they started building the 1000 series tractors. None of them are available. |

The IH-545616-R1 Tail Light was used at the beginning of the 1x4/5 Series and ran through the end of the Q/L Series.

Thanks guys! You see so many variations on machines this age it's hard to really know what is correct sometimes.
