NF Blade Sub Frame Problem
Hi everyone,
I am having an issue attaching my plow subframe to my model 70. I have it correctly positioned outside the footrest brackets at the rear but when I try to lift the front it hits the axle long before it is high enough for the bolt holes to line up. I have been searching the forums and have seen numerous photos and my subframe is definitely the correct one and doesn't appear bent or twisted enough to cause a problem. Anyone else that has had or is aware of this problem that could weigh in would be great. Or anyone with a picture of the clearance between the front axle and the subframe would be appreciated. Is it supposed to touch? I can try to post a picture or two of the problem but in the meantime any help would be nice. Thanks. |
I've seen that before. There are brackets that bolt to the subframe to lower it.

Or leave the mower deck front mount mule drive on.

Like muzzy said, it sounds like you are missing part # 19.

I am definitely missing part 19. It would solve the problem for sure. I guess I will track them down or make some. Thanks guys.

Like Lewis said get a front mule drive and use that. Much stronger then the lift arms.

I do have a mule drive that I haven't used since I don't mow with this tractor. Anyone of have a pic of the mule drive used in this application? Thanks to everyone for your help so far.
