Original CC rear lift

I finally got my rear lift for the original, now I need the lift pin. I see several different ones around, 1 with a washer welded on it and one without. Some say will fit narrow frame and some say will fit wide frame. My question is, will any of them fit the original? Also, why do some have a washer welded on them and others do not? Any help would be great especially in locating one. I also need a new one for my wide frame lift.
Thanks

I don't know if ALL Original three point hitches had the same pins or not.

I have two with the three point hitch, one has a welded on washer and the other is "loose".

I believe the one pictured is the correct one for an Original. It has a large washer with an extra hole on one side for the spring assist to hook into. The other one also has the extra hole for it's spring assist, it just isn't welded to the pin.

Other pins have a much smaller washer, and still others don't have a washer at all, but I'm not sure what is the "correct" pin for "what" tractor.

In any event, the pins are all the same diameter and will fit in any of the HI 3 point hitches.

Maybe someone else knows for sure which pins go to what tractors.

The pin with the large washer w/spring hole is the correct pin. Welded or loose. But I believe the non welded is how they orig came.

They are also very simple to make if you have a hacksaw and a drill press.

Here are some pictures of my lift. I also have a picture of one of the pins that I took out of a wide frame lift. I also don't see any hole in the original lift for a cotter pin to hold the lift pin in? Not sure what is supposed to keep it in there Thanks for all the help.

3 point hitch and HH-150 implement hitch

There were 2 different assist springs used on Cub Cadets. the original Cubs used the spring assist shown in your picture, Model HH-110. Cub models 70, 71, 100, 102, and 122 Tractors used Model HH-112, which is actually bolted on the lift arm. This info is directly from Brinly-Hardy Co.:American Flag 1:

All: The Cub Cadet lift lever did not come with a 1" Lift Arm Assembly (the 1" pin)! It was the responsibility of the implement maker to supply a pin which matched their implement. With several suppliers of implements for the Original with a 3-pt lift, it's no wonder that there are several "almost alike" pins, some with welded washers, some not...Please read the TC-113 parts listing for the 3-pt lift and drawbar!! It's there in plain black and white... The one illustrated was an optional item from IH Cub Cadet and was still available from Cub Cadet (with IH parts tags) as late as 2001-2002. I was a Cub Cadet Parts man then and ordered a couple and got them with the IH tags still on them. This version had the welded washer. Thus, there is no standard pin.... As long as the cotter pin holes match..use it...

Actually, there's more like 4 spring assists. In addition to the two Brinly spring assists you mentioned, there's the IH spring assists for the NF and WF tractors.
