Where can I get spiral pins?

Anyone have a good source for spiral pins? I need one for my qa-42a, but neither my local NAPA or hardware stores carry them.

Do you have an Ace or True Value, maybe a Menards near by? They should all have them, I get all mine at True Value. :beerchug:

I buy mine at the local hardware store that used to be an Ace. They are in the Hillman parts section along with keystock and rod ends.

I used these, the heavy duty coiled spring pins 1/4 x 1 3/8
to rebuild my clutch. They worked great!

Every time one of you guys posts a mcmaster-carr part number, I go there, buy some of them, and find about $100 of other stuff I need. Just reading this forum is getting expensive!

With the prices McMaster charges, it's not hard to get to $100! But when it shows up the next day on a brown truck it eases some of the pain.

Thanks guys! I had high hopes but my local mom & pop stores only carried standard roll pins. I do have a true value that's not too far out of the way, I'll try them too. If I have no luck there I'll go to Mcmaster.

For now, I'm going to use a hardened spring steel roll pin that I bought at the last hardware store I went to. I couldn't help it, the little old man looked around for one for at least 15 minutes for me, and could only find that. I felt I at least owed it to him for his time. it only has to last the winter, planning to refurb the thrower in the spring anyways.
