I pulled this one in the shop a little over 3 months ago and it's still not finished yet but it will be loaded up with goodies.

This is the one I missed at a show in 2011. I didn't go to the show on Friday but I was there 1st thing on Saturday. I walk around the corner and see this sitting there but the man selling said it sold on Friday and I just missed the tiller that went on back for $200.:bash2: I now go to that show on both days. I ran into him again at the 2012 show and he asked if I was still interested in it because the guy never came up with the cash but the tiller was gone. I was at his shop on monday to pick it up.:biggrin2:

It was missing the rear clutch and shaft but everything else was there. I picked up a complete rear pto from another member a while back and used the missing parts to complete this one. I replace the bearings in everything and installed a new set of AX30 belts

I also rebuilt the steering box on this one because it was leaking out the top.

I don't have pics of them but I also put on a set of Sam's rear end brace's. Good job Sam!:beerchug:

I'm installing aftarmarket gauges, volt, temp & oil psi but on the D640's in the the 1772's and any D600 you have to move the temperature sending unit. I built a riser out of alumimum to install back at the bypass hose but I didn't like it. I have a Kubota D722 in another tractor and I see they use a different setup. I found this one off of a D722 on ebay for $25 shipped and ordered the gaskets and the dynamo bracket because it is different. This is everything you will need to make the change.

Here is what it looks like now. The brass adapter is where the sensor will now go and it is on the engine side of the thermostat. I'm going to keep the original temperature gauge installed under the hood next to the hour meter until I'm sure there are no problems with this set up.

The oil gauge came with some cheap looking plastic tubing to sense the pressure but it scared me so I used some capillary tubing and covered it with what we call FR tubing for pneumatic controls in the HVAC field.

It's hard to see in the last pic but I had to put a spacer piece between the original gauge cluster piece and the dash to get the clearence for the back side of the gauges.

This one also has one of Sam's 2k/3k drive shaft conversions and will be getting the Kwick-Way loader that I picked up 2 years ago.:beerchug:

That's all for now. I will try and get more done this week.:beerchug:

Sweet set-up Todd! :beerchug:
What's better than a diesel super with all the goodies? One with a loader!

That's a nice looking 1772 Todd! Nice work too!:beerchug:

So thats how the rear PTO is setup on these. I often wondered.

I will be paying close attention to your loader install.

Will you be using the existing hydrolics or installing a secondary pump and controls?

very nice machine. looks like its coming along.

just some advice on the loader... i had to make a 1/4 spacer for the power steering mount and cut away some of the pump mounting bracket to keep the steering cylinder from hitting it. you may also need to turn the muffler upright, mine was close. i like it up anyways.

good luck!!

Thanks guys. This will just be a working tractor because I still don't have anywhere to paint yet and that loader could use a paint job.

Andy, I will be using a Northern Tool pump to run the loader. Here is the link to it. http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...9706_200329706

Does anybody make the hood decals like the originals that came on these?
