Heavy duty spindles

i was wanting to see if anyone has done the heavy duty spindle swap to the front wheels. i saw one member with it done but i cant seem to find out who it was. i think it would be a good modification to my 1772 with the KW loader. so far the OEM ones have held up, but with a few hundred lbs. in the bucket who knows for how long. i see there is a kit from Xtream that looks good. if anyone has done this id love to see how its done and how it holds up. thanks!!

I did it. Check my post. I used 1500 lb. 1 1/2 square spindles and machined a block to give correct angle. PM me for pics.

I did not take pictures. I'll try to explain what I did. I cut two 2"x2" blocks of 1" steel. Drilled a 1" hole in the center and milled a 1-1/2 groove in the bottom at an angle to match the original spindle. It was about 1/4" on the inside out to almost nothing on the outside.

I cut the factory spindles about 3/4" below the axle and welded them from the bottom to the blocks I made then welded the 1-1/2" spindle in the machined groove.

I took some 10"x6" trailer wheels and narrowed them to 4" and mounted tri-rib tires.

I may just have too much time on my hands.

Extreme Motorworks offers this service. I have bought several of their products and am very satisfied. They are good people to do business with.

I just opted to this on my own.

looks pretty good. ill have to figure out a way to get the correct pitch since i don't have a mill. maybe i could miter cut the steel to 15* or so.

how are they holding up and do you notice any differences?
