Only Cub Cadets - Homemade steering wheel puller

I needed a few cub steering wheels off and didnt want to fight them for days or weeks so I built this puller from some scrap steel and some hardware. It removed 4 wheels in less than 15 min with no damage to wheel or shaft. I used all flat steel for mine, but would use 2.5 in wide channel iron for the bottom piece if I was to do it again and notch off the corners for the bolts to go into the welded on nuts. The single nut is just welded on and the 2 together have the threads drilled out and act as a bushing. The hole for the column tube is drilled with a 1.5 inch metal hole saw. The top piece has 2- 3/8 holes drilled 4.25 inches apart and a 1/2 hole in the center of them with the 1/2 nut welded on. I used 3/8 threaded rod to connect the top piece to 2 nuts welded 4.25 inches apart diagonally across the top of the bottom piece. To protect the threaded shaft i took a 5/16 carriage bolt and filed the corners off so it would sit flat on the end off the shaft, I think the bolt I used is actually called a plow bolt as it is flatter and wider than a normal carriage bolt. The models I've tried it on are 100, 102, and original but it should work on others.
