I have 2 different styles tri ribs.

Deerstone tires:

Notice the center rib is wider. This tire was purchase from Miller tire at a tractor show:

This is the other style tri rib that is on my 149

All 3 ribs are the same width. The name on the side of this tire is GBC. This tire was purchase on ebay.

Both tires are good handling-steering tires. Neither tire is hard on the lawn.

Dieseldog....I got my Deestones at a small engine show--brand new tires already mounted on brand new rims with new bushings----2/$100. Sorry, but I don't know the vendor, sorry. I can tell you that I like them a lot better than the wide ones that were on there. In fact all of my cubs now have narrow tires on the front!!

Merc, are the GBC tires the ones that Tucker Tire sells??

Merk,

Are the ones from Miller the Greenball brand they have listed under the pulling category? They are nice looking and wouldn't mind a set myself. I just want to make sure I order the right ones.

I'm not sure those are the same ones. I purchase the my tires from Miller Tire at a show.

Both sets of tires are 4-5 years old. Best thing to to is go to dealer or get a picture of the tires.

I got my 4 x 8 tri ribs from smalltires.com. They are Deestones and cost $21 each plus shipping. I also got the tubes from them at just under $6 each.

Sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but I just bought a set of narrow wheels for my 1450, and have some 4.00-8 tri ribs on order. I need to make my Cub narrower to fit though a gate, but I assumed I would have to put up with poor flotation, etc in a trade off compared to the stock 16x6.50-8 tires.

Cub Cadet 123, I'm curious, why do you actually prefer the narrower tires?
