Wheel weights
 

I am looking to buy a pair of Steiner IH331 wheel weights for my GT 2000. The model numbers given; however, did not give MTD CCC tractors. I am also planning to install them on the inside rims. Out of curiosity and before ordering, would someone be able to give me the difference in inches between wheel weight holes and inside mounting center hub of a Cub Cadet 1650, 1450, 1250, 169, 149, or 129? The weights are suppose to be about 30 pounds each. Don't need much with this tractor as it is extremely heavy, especially with 48" fabricated deck. Thanks for your help.

I moved this thread, your asking if a non cub wheel weight will fit a cub. I have no idea, maybe someone else can answer. Just a stupid question, why not just load the tires? 4 gals of windshield washer fluid will give you 30LBS for about $8.00 per wheel.

Not asking if the weights will fit a certain tractor just wanted to know wheel bolt dimensions on the tractors I listed. Some questions may appear stupid, but then again I thought the idea of forum was to obtain information/knowledge? I have thought about loading tires and other weight options; I'm still undecided.

OK let's try this from a different angle, if the weights you are looking at will fit the 12" rims of a Cub like a 1450 will Cub weights fit your rims? I don't have the answer because a GT2000 is a newer tractor and I don't know anything about them, sorry. Best answer I can give you is to ask the people you are planning on buying the weights from to answer your questions. I'm only trying to help. Just for informational purposes, the weights he listed from Steiner are cub/cub cadet weights. They are just new cast of the old style with no markings on them. Actually, a very good buy for the $$$ at $125 a set.

Your tractor has a 12" rim on it. Diagonal measurement of the old wheel weight holes is about 8.75". Sam is right, why not just measure your rims and ask Steiner what the hole spacing was? Kinda going the hard way around for an answer.

I'm looking to buy the same identical pair from a guy on ebay. Steiners is closed until Monday hence the need for information as asked. The measurement 8.75" is one of the figures I was needing which is the same as mine. The other item I need is the diameter of the hub end of transmission that attaches to wheel. Thanks for your information; it is helpful.

Older cubs have a 5 bolt wheel, yours showed 4 bolt. Hub diameter has no effect on wheel weights.

I am fairly new to this forum. I saw the post is being moved. Why and where does it get moved to? Hate to ask another "stupid question," but I would like to know.

I am planning to put wheel weight on the inside of rim which needs to clear the hub end. 4 or 5 bolt patter for attachment of wheel is not important though.
