450 snowblower

I just picked up a 450 blower I was hoping to use it on my 1211 do you think it will run it if I go slow enuff? I also have a 1282 with a 14hp kohler in it . The only thing is its manual lift. What one should I use oit on?

That is a big blower.....Will that 12/14hp have enough get up and go to push it?

There is no way you want to use that on a tractor with manual lift.

The 12hp is definitely marginal, but yes, you can just slow down to keep the engine loaded to your preference. I ran a blower on my 1450, and it did pretty well. If it was the light fluffy stuff, I could drive faster than the blower could take in the snow. If it is the damp heavy stuff, then you have to slow down even if you have 18hp.

Btw, the 1211 is a great platform that can accept a lot of engine choices with no customization. Put the blower on the 1211, see how it works for you, and then if you want more power, take your pick.

To make a blower effective on any tractor you want weight and chains.
