Suitcase weights

6 Attachment(s)
Just playing around with a stack of suitcase weights I cut out on a plasma cutter last year.

Im wanting to make the suitcase weights look bigger, and fill the mount without adding 250lbs to it. I took 2 weights and welded a bar strap between them .
Squared up the end with fiberglass filler and will paint um black.
I think they look like a solid chunk of iron now. And only weigh 20lbs each

Those are cool and will look great hanging on the tractor. You can always fill them with sand to whatever weight if 20lb isn't enough!

40 to 50 lbs is all I'll ever need when tilling. Ive got 250lbs of weights made.

Thanks for the feedback

Now if you could just figure out how to cast IH into the 2 on the outside you would really turn some heads! Nice looking work.

I guess you could waterjet or laser out 2 IH emblems and glue them on with some industrial adhesive. For that matter you could saw them out of wood or lexan and glue them on even. Either way you'll have some explaining to do!

I plasma cut a set , I'll drill and tap 1/4" treads on the back and bolt them on. Putt treaded rod in the emblems and nut them on the inside of the weight. I have enough room to get a gear wrench in there to tighten the nut.
I'm thinking about milling the H down 1/8th so the I stands taller. Should look better when painted red and black. The paint line wouldn't look good, I don't think.

You could just drill a couple small holes in the emblems and plug weld them...then just grind back to flush...weights look nice....
