169 exhaust question

I'm looking at my exhaust on my 169, with the K341 engine, and I noticed the elbow coming from the exhaust port to the muffler is different than normal ones, and mine is cracked and I touched it and a piece fell off of it....are these specific to the 169? or does the 1650 share the same one? I found one on cub cadet warehouse and it looked the same but not sure. any help would be appreciated.

You can go the the Cub Cadet Parts Look-up Site and it will answer all your questions. Click on.... Parts Look-up.

Click on Cub Cadet as the brand, and type in the model of your inquiry. It will bring up EVERYTHING that Cub Cadet ever made.

the 16 hp port is larger than all the other Kohlers, the QL ones are different so its exclusive to the 169

I checked out that site Roland, both elbows on both tractors say KH-45-054-04 so with that being said I believe they are the same...right?

I tend to default to dvogtvpe on this one. But, you are correct...... They do show the same part number. :bigthink:

I don't have either a 169 nor a 1650, but I would agree with Don, that the 16HP elbows are bigger.

:Work:

Here is what my research has found. There are two exhaust elbows that look very similar. Here is the difference.

KH-47-054-01-S was used on engines from 10 to 14 HP

KH-45-054-04-S was solely used on K & M series engines for 16 HP

I replaced a 169 elbow with one from a 1650 for a guy, they were the same.
