Frame width question
I'm not sure which forum to post this in, but here it goes. What is the difference in the frame widths of a QL and an SGT?
|
The "length" of the frames. The SGT are about 7" longer.
|
So, the frames are the same width?
|
Basically, yes. The front where the implements attach is the same width, as is the rear where the rearend mounts. The top is folded over at the front to make room for the twin cylinder engines.

Thanks for the info, I hate to be a pain. My uncle is giving me a H45 snowblower, I think that's the model #, that was on an 1811 and 1872. He got rid of the tractors, and kept the blower. I was hoping that it would hook up without too many mods.

It should be either a H42 or a H48. I'm not familar with the haban snowthrowers, but there might be a special mounting kit to attach it to the super(1872) that you might have to remove. The only other change I think you wouldh ave to make would be on the drive pulley. A quietline is a 1/2" pto belt while the other models you mentioned use a 5/8" belt.

Turns out the thrower is a QA42 with the extenders on it. I think I did good. The gear box needs rebuilt, but the thrower was free.
