Ferrari F-1 tire change
Just a little faster than me changing a tire on my Cub LOL, enjoy.
If you haven't seen this before, it's pretty amazing. The prep time is actually longer. I watched this 6-7 times to see what the different people are doing. It helps to concentrate on just one of the 18 crew people at a time. http://zanylol.com/tires.html |
That is Insain ... alot of practice went on there. Being single lug wheels help too
|
Pretty cool. Gotta hand it to the athleticism that goes into being a pit crew member. I know the Nascar guys/gals make it look easy but I'm betting it's not.
|
Wow...... .......
|
Each team's pit crew services both cars. F1 is currently considering a budget cap of $200 million US per year and the big boys are against it (Red Bull, Ferrari). Unreal.

Holy sh#t.....i thought the cup car guys were fast...suppose one spindle nut vs 5 lugs makes a difference also...cool link, thanks
|
Wow that was quick. Of course NASCAR does not allow that many over the wall at one time and far more lug nuts involved. Also the whole car is elevated at one time vs one side at a time. I'll bet the time was not that great the first time they did that.

No way you can compare F1 with Nascar. Being an ex racer I like to watch both. My favorites are the road course races especially Watkins Glen where I spent years instructing. That said F1 is the most technically advanced form of racing on the planet and the most out of control when it comes to spending. This is the link to F1 http://www.formula1.com/ some incredible technology you may find it entertaining. Yes I know it has absolutely nothing to do with Cubs. For the record I enjoy pretty much all forms of racing. :beerchug:

Since NASCAR was mentioned anyone going to comment on Dale jr. winning the Daytona 500 ? looks like he's back . :beer2:
|
I had to watch it twice. I blinked the first time and missed it....
