Good deal on ESAB plasma cutter
Post on WW forum by Brand-X , I sell my ESAB NOS Handy plasma 380 for one of those if the money exchange was not so crappy..
Here is a few deals. No hype they just cut as nice as anything on the planet, with great consumable life too. PT-37/38-39 torches are some of the best air Plasma torches ever made..Up to this point anyway.(IMO) You have to know a bit more about what is available as to setup, but if you do then really nice stuff. Lots of options in consumable styles.. Italian made machines on these sizes, and Polish on the larger units. http://www.weldfabulous.com/p-101509...-39-torch.aspx http://www.weldfabulous.com/p-101323...-39-torch.aspx Going to be interesting to compare how this smaller one works against all the other 120/240 units out. Looks like it cuts at the same speed as the very newest machines just out, but $400.00 cheaper... One thing about Esab, the arc is always really powerful for the amps.. |
As an Esab user, I must say, they make VERY good tools!!

Me too! I like my Handy plasma a lot, I find a 6 month old ESAB 200i MIG last week for a friend, this little devil is amazing, I don't say I like it better then my Miller 211mm but the ESAB arc is smoother.
I think in the long run my Miller may last longer since it's an 72 pounds Hybrid (transformer/inverter) and got no LCD digital display but I have to admit I'm pretty impress by all their product. |
I don't yet have a plas-cutter. Been thinking about getting one, and I believe the Esab is the one I want. I was always a Miller guy, but after getting my Esab, I'm like you... the arc is soo smooth. I need to get a tank of Argon and try out my aluminum spool gun. Came with the welder and I have never tried it. :bigthink:

Plasma cutter was a luxury for me since my step brother give me tons of cutting disk for free every time we met. I just purchase mine because the deal was to good to let it go. ESAB full 90 days refund, 3 years warranty, good services, cheap Chinese plasma cutting torch consumables on Ebay (55pc for -$25) are all the reason I give it a try. In narrow space were you can't cut a bolt with a grinder this puppy is very useful, I cut 7/8" bolt with it like butter! :)
