Met a fellow member today!

My friend Chris (the one with the 126 and the 169) and I took a short road trip today to meet up with member 782CC (Tim) and pick up a couple tractors from him. Always cool to meet fellow members. I had expressed interest in dual stick quietline tractors in a post I made last fall, Tim had a dual stick 1250 he wanted to sell. Distance kept the deal from going through. Recently, he contacted me and said he would be going through Illinois on a trip and could bring the tractor along. I thought that was a great deal! Before it was all said and done, he (somewhat easily I might add) talked me into a very nice 682 that he also was done using.

So, I am now a proud owner of a seemingly rare 1250 dual stick, and a nice, red, IH built 682! (All the parts came with the 1250, just not assembled.)

Here is a shot of them once we got them unloaded at home. (I'll post better pics later, we were in a hurry.)

Sorry, no pics of Tim and I.

Tim: After all the pm's, e-mails and texts, it was great to finally shake your hand! I appreciate the effort you put into bringing the tractors this far. I wish you safe travels on the rest of your trip, and enjoy your time with your brother. Thanks again! :beerchug:

Thanks guys! These bring my total tractors to 8 (including the Lo-Boy). I'm done for a while. (Unless I find one cheap :biggrin2::biggrin2:)

Ryan the plan is, 682 for a grass killer, 1250DS for front hydraulic blade in winter, and just all around tractor. The 682 has sleeve hitch, and the 1250 will... so they are very good all-round use tractors!

Congrats on the pickups Jonathan!:beerchug:

Did you get lucky and get a Series II in the 682?

And something told me that 1250DS would be a blade tractor in the winter :biggrin2: If only there was a viable way to put a blower and a blade on it with a cab, talk about a snow moving machine :biggrin2:

Thanks Mike! How many 1250 dual sticks have you ever seen? 14's and 16's I find all the time..... 1250... I've only "seen" this one. There is another member here with one, but I don't remember who. :bigthink:

No, it's the original motor. You can never tell with the hour meter the '82 series used how many "real" hours are on them. It shows just over 600, and judging by the condition of the tractor, it may be accurate. Maybe Tim knows and will comment.

There is a viable way.... a triple stick off a "green" tractor. I already have the cab... :biggrin2::biggrin2: But it will probably stay on the 18'. Need that HP for the blower!
