Looking for some 1541 input
i have this 1541 magnum 15 i been playing with, i like the tractor just have a few questions about it
i had a 2000 series before but i never really "used" it anyhow when i was plowing snow wednesday i noticed my plow wasn't completely clipped in at the front, i didn't think much of it at the time. i got about 8 swipes with it and when backing up i pulled the plow out of the frame..... did i install it wrong? maybe the wrong plow? i dunno i rigged it back in and held it in place with two C clamps also i noticed its so so so slow when backing up, is this normal? i am used to having the variator to adjust speed on my jd also is there a way to increase the strength or speed of the hydro lift? just a few questions i had over the past two days, just wondered if i could pick your brains and get some input thanks :bigthink: |
Blade pulling out of the frame-There should be a spring that holds the quick attach latch assemble in lock mode. I found infomation on the Cub Cadet parts look up:
http://cubcadetparts.arinet.com/scri...rtISAPI.dll?MF Click on frame to see a picture of the frame. Slow reverse and slow lift- When was the filter on the hydro trans last change? Did you use a Cub Cadet filter and oil if it was change? I would change filter and oil first if it wasn't done. If that doesn't help I would check shifter linkage. It may need some adjustment done to it. You will need a service manual to do that. I'm not sure where you can find one. Let me know if this doesn't solve your problem. |
there is a spring lock there for the blade, the pins that lock into the groove on the plow seem to thick. i am going to weld up an adaptor for it and hold it in with pins.
as far as the filter, no i never changed it, i just got the tractor about three weeks ago, just got it running i will try that, i need to take back out the steering first, there is just way to much play in it thanks for the input |
