Automatic Battery Float Charger

I picked up one of these for my truck from Harbor Freight. I dont drive it but once every two months or so and needed something to keep a good charge on the battery. Works great. Every time I go to start my truck up it has great cranking power. And for 10 bucks ( you can usually get them on sale for around 7) they pay for themselves in no time because I dont have to run my truck every week to insure the battery is charged.

I liked it so much I picked on up for my Cub, and I thought I would tell you guys about them.

I will be using one for my trailer breakaway battery as well as one for my racecar that sits without use for extended times. They work pretty well too...

I used one on my 1512 when I threw snow with it in the winter...still use it whenever I'm reviving a tractor that sat for a bit.

I bought one this year, as my 782's starter does the whizzing thing if the battery is low at all. The only time I had a problem this year was when the temp was -10. Had to use the pickup to jump it, but I think it was a thick oil problem that was causing the issue.

Dad uses them on all his vehicles that sit. I put it on my truck that sits whenever the tractor is out working.

I have 3 battery tender jr's. and their all plugged in. They are 3/4 amp chargers w/auto on/off. I then made additional leads from 14 gauge wire and aligator clips so I can put the tender on my corvette and run leads over to the ATV. Another charger goes on the 108 and leads go over to the 122. The last one is hooked to the 3 spare batterys on the shelf. Three tenders on 7 batterys. If I could park them all closer togeather I could probably get buy with just one of them. I'm not cheap ...... just thrifty.
