Belts?

I have a 1974 cub cadet 129, and it came with an 1A tiller and the rear belt driven pto to drive the tiller. What belts do i need to go from the front pto to the rear one? and also what belt do i need for the tiller to run off the rear pto?

Yup that belt's a killer on the pocketbook. Take good care of it and don't loose it once you get it.

Hi,
Does this same belt fit a 127?
Trying to get a tiller mounted too.

Found several other numbers of belts on here from searching older posts too.

Looks like a AX-144 NAPA belt number? If the length is 144 inches then that matches close with the 13/32x143.8 number assuming the 143.8 is the length too. ( this belt seemed to be lower cost but not sure how well it worked or for how long compared to Cub IH belt?)
and also found this number for the long tiller belt 3Vx530 (not sure who has that)
Not sure if I am helping here:)
Regards,
Chris

would a 21/32" X 144" belt work? cuz its only like $20 and the dimensions seem close

I think its a smaller belt for narrow frames

Hi Chris,
I gave those belt numbers as those are what I'm using on my 125 with 1A tiller.

I have three seasons on the long and short belts. That does include plenty of rock abuse from cutting in my garden and my neighbor's garden three years out of finely manicured lawn. :biggrin2:

Jeff,
Thanks for the information on how these belts hold up over time. I just ordered the AX-144 from NAPA. It was $40 plus shipping from Georgia.
Regards,
Chris

I will add I store them coiled up ( the 144 ) and hung from a nail so they keep a good shape. As far as I'm concerned, they already paid for themselves.
