Just getting started on the farm. I have 2 cubs, a 1863 that I've had for a few years, and a 2284 that I just picked up.
The 1863 I'm pretty familiar with but the 2284 is going to need some work and I don't know much about it yet. It seems to run great but there is
something amiss in the hydro I think. If it were a car I'd say it has a bad u-joint because it bumps when I go from rev to forward, like something is loose any info would be a big help.

My guess is you have the standard loose or broken mounting bolts on the transmission axle housing on the 2284. The Supers are very prone to issues with the mounting because of the frame flex. Ask me how I know. We have the technology to make it better than factory. Get some good pics of the rear end and start a thread in this section CCC/MTD Cub Cadet built Tractors (GT) and we'll get you sorted out :beerchug:
