1882 questions
Hey guys I am brand new to this site and this is my first post. I just recently bought an 1882 that had been sitting for 13 years. It was parked cause it was leaking oil out of the engine seal.... I Cleaned the fuel sytem, new battery and it fired right up....seems like everything works. I have the front pulled off now and my oil seal is supposed to be in today. The deck looks like new... it has some cracks in the plastics... I think I fixed most of them last night with a solder gun and some jb weld on the inside where it cant be seen. Anyways are these pretty good tractors? Can I put a rear PTO on it? and is there anything else you guys can tell me about this thing?
Thanks Travis Allen |
Welcome to OCC Travis!:beerchug:
The 1882 is a super cub and they are good tractors. As you found out the plastic is one of the problem areas though. A rear pto can be added along with a cat O hitch but they are pricey and sometimes hard to get your hands on. Post some pics when you get a chance. |
how do I post pics

Welcome to OCC! Congrats on your 1882!

This is not cleaned up at all. I think it will look really good when I get it all put back together and polished up

Welcome to OCC! Yes, the 1882 is a super and as Mike said, you can add the rear PTO and Cat O three point hitch to it. To post pics, you have to go to the addition options area which is right below the reply to thread box you type in. Click on manage attachments, then you can search your computer, select pics, and add them as attachments to your post. Clear as mud? :biggrin2:
