Ford 9480
Could not help but to hop on the 1450 this morning and go down to my neighbor's . They had the big Ford out, and a yellow one with a White planter. I don't know for sure what the Ford was doing other than preparing the soil for the planter.

Nice pic from the farm.
Looks like to me that they are just sort of scratching the surface with a field cultivator. |
Very cool pic, John!

A JCB on a planter? That's a first for me! Normally I only see them running liquid manure tanks due to their quick road speed. And even then tgey are few and far between!!! Nice ford/buhler 4wd!!! That's one of my favorite jobs us field cultivating and pulling the crumbled or packer behind it.

Good tractor (Ford), spent many hours in a similar one doing just what he was doing; fluffing the ground up with a field cultivator, although we didn't run a crumbler behind it. Couldn't find any pics of that series but this is as close as I could find for running a big boy

We had a JCB come in on trade up here in montana of all places. It was a fun tractor to drive. It would take corners like a sports car:biggrin2:;.

Thanks guys. I thought the operation was worth checking out, its neat to see what is being achieved, and with what equipment. Can't help being a tractor fan!
Shaner - The Ford read: Versatile under the Ford name/sticker. At least I know the what the yellow tractor was,..... a JBC. Guess I'll find out later what was planted. Earlier this spring, there was a ridged frame- Case doing the heavy disk work. |
