Cub 149 rear rim

Any one ordered a new 12x7 rear rim from miller tire for a 149 and did it fit?
Seems the dimensions on the web site are not what my old rim is. New rim bolt spacing says 4.5 inch and I measured mine at 4.25. Also center offset and back space measurements don't seem to be same as the old rim. I called and the salesperson said that it should fit. Any help appreciated.

Cub Cadet bolt circle IS 4.5". It is measured by bolt circle diameter. I think you must have measured across to another bolt hole. TMK, there is no such 4.25" bolt circle. I haven't ordered one, but the dimensions all look correct for a cub. Looks like the valve stem is on the back though, instead of the front. NBD.

You will want the valvestem on the outside if you have external brakes....BTDT... the valve stem hits the brakes and it wont last very long. Cub rims are usually pretty easy to find, try placing a want ad for some.

With all the respect in the world to you Mr Bob, why would you want to order a new wheel?

Thanks J-Mech for your help. I did measure from bolt hole to bolt hole.

Didn't even cross my mind it hitting the brake. Good call Ryan! :beerchug:

That was my thought too.. Good wheels with bad tires are like $20 around here. Is 12 x 7 a special size?

I've ordered new rims a couple times--from xtrememotorworks.com and miller tire. both fit fine. I think some had the valve stem on the inside, so I used a short valve stem.

sometimes it's just easier to order them when you are buying tires and tubes. The 8 inch rims are harder to come by. I've ordered a set off ebay that were supposed to be 8 inch rims, and they were 7 inch. I called a guy who had a set of 8 inch rims on CL, drove across town, paid him $50, brought them home, discovered they were 7 inch rims. (my fault for not measuring them/having a ruler with me at the time).

So, sometimes, it's easier to just buy the 8 inch rims. YMMV.
