Model 70 blade does not disengage
 

Have had a model 70 (purchased several years ago) with minimal repairs needed to be done. I noticed the blade this season was not disengaging so I replaced the wear button, using an oil bronze button made in a friends shop. Readjusted the turnbuckle so there was a minimal space and have good pressure when pulling the lever to disengage. Problem is the blades are spinning in either position. Any suggestions?

Sounds like it's time to take a look at the PTO in my non professional opinion.

Sounds like a good idea in my and Sams non professional opinion also.
