Now my 149 won't start

I was going to back it out of the shed to take the deck off for some repairs and when i tried to start it nothing...all i hear is a loud clicking under the dash. I mowed last night and it worked just fine???? I dont get it

Sounds like solenoid may have went. You need to test positive in and out of solenoid with a test light or meter. 12v in on big lug from battery, 12 volts out on other big lug on other side of solenoid going to s/g in key switch crank position

Check your battery connections be sure they are clean and tight and that the battery is good.

I have had this on a number of occasions. Wiggle them or clean them, make sure the ground is good. With luck its just this....

I agree. A low battery or loose/dirty connections can cause these symptoms. I'd check the simple stuff before moving on to replacing the solenoid. In the end, still might be a bad solenoid.

I just had this exact same problem on one of my 129's and it was the solenoid, but doesn't hurt to do a check of all connections anyway.

I have found most times it's something simple. Loose wire , dirty cables forgot to turn the fuel on! Lol safety switch on clutch pedal not making good contact. I have had that happen too. Accidently flipped the pto switch on left the key on and burned points up.

Well I bypassed the solenoid and the S/G started to turn over just fine...I have to replace it today at some point.
