Belts--where do you buy them?

I needed a deck belt for my 54" deck on my 1864. Of course it broke on a weekend so very few places were open. My son visited our local TSC and they had a Cub belt and wanted $80 for it but they had no after market belts. It is 122" long so that might explain the lack of choices. I checked with a power equipment dealer close to where I work and they didn't have any but listed it for $38. I checked with NAPA and only two stores had them and they were miles away. I needed a belt. I stopped at a Cub dealer on my way back to work and they had one in stock for $50 so I bought it. Belts are getting really costly and when you have to replace the deck belt and the PTO belt for more than one tractor things can start getting a lot costly. Just wondering where you guys get your belts.

I have found the most cost effective place to get belts for CC's is from a CC dealer. They fit, they last and yeah, they cost a little.

I just bought a belt today for a 48" mower (similar to your 54") for $32 from the dealer.

I run Gates belts. Available at most part stores.

I usually run napa belts. They usually carry what I need.

My 1200 has belts from tsc supposed to be Kevlar reinforced,I've had good luck with them. My 1211 has the original cub belt it came with,16 years and still going!

I just replaced my 48 GT deck belt yesterday. It broke Saturday on the home stretch. I put a TSC blue Kevlar on. I can't remember if that's what I put on when I bought the tractor last summer? Any way it lasted about 70 hours of severe mowing. The one I just got at TSC was $23. It was a 1/2 x 107. If it lasts another 70 hours of the hell I put it through I will be happy.

I buy from Amazon and keep a spare on hand for mishaps (ex. mule drive idler went out and ate a belt).. Oregon brand Aramid (Kevlar) fiber. Hold up well and are affordable.

I've started using this place for some of my larger more expensive belts.

I bought a deck belt for my 2072 from Cadet that lasted about a year. I had to replace it due to a deep break in it. That belt should have lasted several years considering the number of hours we put on that machine.
