Cub Cadet 70 mower belt problem
 

I have a 70 (#385058r1) w/mower (#473425r1). Can't keep a drive belt on it. Alignment looks good, pulleys look straight,& run free. Still keeps throwing the belt. Anyone have an idea?

The information on the tractor is good. However, the mower deck information is not valid.

Back in that day, the mower decks available were the 38" and 42". The size is determined by the cutting width. In addition to that, there were 4 generations of those decks. A picture would be most helpful.

"Generally speaking" situations like yours is a result of using aftermarket instead of Cub Cadet belts. So....are you using genuine CC belts..???

I'll try to get a pic &send it, (may take some time TECH NO ). It's a belt from NAPA. Let me get you a pic for right ID, then maybe I can find the proper belt THANKS FOR THE HELP. MIKE.

You need a 3/8" wide belt. When I got my 100 from my dad and 149 from my brother they both said they were having problems keeping the PTO belts on them. They were both trying to use "A" width belts which are close to 1/2" wide. I picked up the correct 3/8" belts from the Cub Cadet dealer and have been mowing with the 100 for 4-5 yrs and have never had the belt jump off.

How do I order this belt, can't get anywhere putting in (model) 70. Part # ? Belt a 3/8 x 82. Sound right ? THANKS MIKE

I found all these belt no. but none are 82".

My 100 with 42" cast end deck uses a 3/8"x81" PTO belt. Part #IH-473462-R4

I ordered the 3/8 x 81 , from CC Specialties. See how that works, I'll let you know. Thanks
