109 throttle cable
I am trying to figure out if there is anything that holds the throttle cable down by the carb.
When I move the throttle control on th dash the both the wire part and the outside cover move instead of just the wire. PO had a piece of baling wire tied to the cable back next to the tower to solve this problem but I don't like that solution. I can't see we're anything is missing and the other end is connect to the throttle cable assembly correctly. I found a random picture online that shows a retainer coming off the back of the air filter. Is that correct? The picture didn't have a description to identify what machine it was but it looked pretty close. Any help would be appreciated |
According to the Parts Manual, you need KH-210149 Clip.
I would think you can get this at any local Small Engine Repair shop, auto parts, or Hardware stores. |

Yes, there should be a bracket with a retaining clip that holds it in place. Check the parts book for your machine, you will see it up around the carb in the blow-out for the engine. Can't really tell much in the pic, but they are the same on all the engines. Find a parts machine and rob one. Or, they are still available new, just pricey for what they are. Like $5 or $6.

Thank you gentlemen, I did see that piece in the exploded parts diagram but couldn't really tell for sure if that's what I needed.
