Engine air duct bracket

3 Attachment(s)
I just purchased this engine air duct bracket and it has a no. on it that I can't research. (47 473 04) The PO said its off a 1250. Is this an original part? All the pictures I found look like the third picture which has a stabilizer fin on the post and round tabs all over that the one I have does not have.

Kieth, I would say that you just have an early version of the same thing. If your worried, I'm sure someone (shop) that can weld aluminum would add that stuff if you wanted.

That's what I thought but when I couldn't research that no. I thought it may have come from a different brand tractor.

Kohler made that part, so even if it had come from a different brand of machine, that part should still be the same. It carries a Kohler part number, not an IH or CCC part number. As long as all brackets and such bolt onto it, your fine. I'm not really sure of the number either. It just looks like an early version of the same thing. Perhaps someone else here will know exactly why they are different, but I really don't think it's an issue.

Thank You, J-Mech.

Looks like it has the extra gussets around the muffler mount bolt.
I'd say it's a later version. Those are notorious I believe for breaking out when the muffler bolts get loose or Ya run into something that contacts the exhaust outlet.

Which one are you commenting on the painted one or the clean one?
