Picked up a new toy for the 1864 today
Finally made a deal with the guy selling an 1862 package with a 451 blower and Cub Cadet Deluxe Cab. I ended up getting the cab, blower, and (tossed in for "free") a 150lb set of wheel weights and tire chains for $700. Unfortunately, due to finances, I can't keep the blower :crap: I have a buyer lined to to buy it already so all told, after the blower sale, I will have gotten the weights, chains, and cab for $300, so I made out pretty good, I think. Haven't had a chance to unload it and play with it yet, but when I do, I'll post more pics.
Anyone ever seen this cab before? It seems well built so I believe it to be a CC Cab. The guy I got it from is the 2nd owner, and the guy he got if from said that he bought it new. My only problem is, I can't find a single pic or bit of info on one like it anywhere. Anywho, that's it for now. Enjoy guys, I'll post more pics as the build progresses. I'm going to add lights and maybe a radio. I'm going to spend enough time in there, might as well make it comfy :biggrin2: Oh, and don't forget the lunch stop on the way back. That's a "Freeport Burger right there" :beerchug: http://s26.postimg.org/3xjlqgosp/IMG...936_Custom.jpg http://s26.postimg.org/umfy29wnd/IMG...909_Custom.jpg http://s26.postimg.org/4pm9pnszt/IMG...947_Custom.jpg http://s26.postimg.org/b21ezhw21/IMG...100_Custom.jpg |

All that's left to do is run the lift arm and get a few nuts and bolts settled. So far, so good :beerchug:

Looks great jimbob! Maybe you can hook up a hot plate in there so you can make soup and never have to leave the cab.....
I love these snow equipment posts when its 80+ degrees out. :) |

jimbob, that better be a mirror with the pics of the Freeport burger. I don't know how anyone could put 2 of those down.
The cab looks really nice! It you ever get put in the dog house, that would be a real good substitute. |

And yeeaahh...I wasn't planning on installing it yet but 1) I had to make sure it'd fit out the 6 1/2ft garage door and 2) I HAD to see how it looked :biggrin2: And now it's installed and ready for winter haha Quote:

Cab looks great installed! |
Wanted to post an update. I took the advice of guys here and decided against LED's. I instead took the more sensible approach of using standard 35 watt tractor utility lights. I went to pick up 2 at a local O'Rielly's, but they only had one for now. I ran a single 12ga wire from the battery to the main switch on my panel (a 4x4x2 PVC box drilled to house 4x switches). From there, I ran 16ga stranded wire to each of my 2 lights and 1 windshield wiper. The video provides more detail, but that's the jist of it. Also provided is wiring diagram of how things are hooked up. Hope y'all enjoy :beerchug:
