This is killing me

This is the kind of stuff that kills me. This deck is in great shape, but no one ever wants to ship a deck (sometimes they will, but not often enough). If any of ya'll live in North Dakota, take a look at this deck......
I apologize if this is not the correct place to put a link for that "site" Thanks, TB

You might be able to sweet-talk the seller if he/she has a Fastenal store nearby. They have developed a side business of tossing customers' shipments onto their trucks for a reasonable fee. Much cheaper than FedEx or UPS if the info I've read is correct.

Oh, and that auction kills me as well. My 50C won't last much longer, I'd jump all over that.

Well, I did try. Guess I was not sweet enough, they did not even answer my question one way or the other. Oh well, one will turn up. TB

its actually a pain to ship a deck. you need to build a box for it or strap it to a pallet. cost is cheaper if its enclosed. then you have to drop it off at a freight terminal. deal with getting the paper work, then send the receiver a bill of laiding so they can pick it up on the other end. shipping ups, usps or fedex is a piece of cake compared to dealing with shipping company's unless you work somewhere that has some one that specializes in it. then you I shipped a 42 in deck to the east coast . that was $175, I shipped a internal brake rearend to Ohio , that was $150,

You can gets things like this shipped cheaper through Fastenal. I just got a 250 pound cast rear from a member on here shipped to my local store for 70.00. You might have to add more for the pallet, he might be willing to take it the nearest store if it is not too far away.

Edit: Just noticed what TheSaturnV wrote

I agree, but like I said, they did not respond to my question one way or the other, so I really have no idea what they would be willing to do. Its all ok really. That auction ends tomorrow, I was just trying to let someone know that lives near by, so they would have a chance.
Thanks Olds, I sent you a PM. TB

Let me know if this will work for you. I bought it with plans of sticking it under my 1641, rebuilt all the spindles, sand blasted it and on and on. Anyway I no longer need it. $300.00 and I will haul it to Fastenal. And it has the mule drive etc. It's a 44GT.
