Setting up a Brinly plow
 
i was wondering which hole on the bottom link do i use for the brinly plow and which hole for the lift straps

Put both left wheels up on 6" blocks and make the plow sit level. There are no specific holes to use. If you use this method you should be good to go.

I change my lower hole setting depending on soil type and depth. Pick a set that allows you to lift the plow off the ground, but still let it go all the way in. When the plow is in the ground, there should be no pressure on the lift straps.

When plowing do you use drilled or slotted straps? Unless the float lockout pin is set, wouldn't the drilled straps act just like slotted straps?

I use slotted.

You worded the last part funny...... If I understood you, yes. If you use the float lock, you can use the drilled. I personally don't know why you would use anything but slotted. There is no need for down pressure on a 3pt hitch.
