Will it fit? 100 fenders on a 102
 

My 102 fenders are bad I found a 100 frame with complete fenders will they fit my 102 looks close to me but I haven't measured yet.. any help will be great thanks in advance

A 100 has round fenders. A 102 has square fenders.......

No, they won't work.
Oh, I suppose they could..... but it sure would look funny. Plus, the round fenders are worth some $$$. You could sell them and buy 3 or 4 sets of square fenders.

with a sawz all and a welder anything is possible. j mech is right and i will gladly trade you 4 sets of 102 fenders for your round fenders.:biggrin2:

i think by using the seat pedastal and the fender mounts they will fit. think about a 71 cub cadet same fenders and same frame as a 102 122 just my 2 cents joe

The 71 is a low tunnel frame and the 102 is a high tunnel.

A 71 has neither the same frame or the same fenders as a 102/122. Like Tim said, 71 is a short tunnel, the others are a tall. Plus, the 71 used round fenders like the 70 before it.

If I'm not mistaken, one of the more "gifted" metal workers on here did something similar and it turned out very nice. I also believe I've seen other like projects that didn't fare quite as well.

It all boils down to, how badly you think you want to put round fenders on a 102.

As someone stated earlier, with saws and welders some people can do some amazing things.

If you have the talent, tools and desire, you may be able to make this project look very nice.

If you're planning on simply bolting stuff together, you may disappointed with the outcome.

If the 100 you have has the steering tower you could put everything from your 102 on the 100 frame and you would have what looks like a 71. Everything from the 102 except the steering tower will bolt onto the 100 frame. I did this with my 102 and 100. I call it my 7100.
