Fenders
 

So, this 3 digit "O" was listed today in the "C-List" section. I've never seen a set of these fenders. Not even in the pre-production models. The base (under the seat) isn't even made like any. It's also apparently been red at some point. But, they look as if they've been on there a while. What do you guys think, PO mod?

Those are old wheelhorse fenders from a 501 701?

That makes sense. I'm not familiar with wheel horse at all. They are pretty rare around my parts. I've seen pics on here, and other sites, but only seen a few in person. As always Lew, you da-man! :beerchug:

Thats weird.... a buddy of mine has a 3 digit o with the same type of fenders and pan but background of pics dont look like his place. Where was it listed?

Never mind seen the link. It must be his I wonder if he got rid of it. Ill have to give him a call. It has a k141 in it as well and steering column is gone

That evilpay link lists a 62 O. No way it's a 3 digit O. :bigthink:

Pretty sure it is. Collared spindles no creeper hole no steering hole on side of dash. And iirc it was a high 3 digit. It is my buddys old machine he got tired of it

IF it is a 3 digit, it CANNOT be a '62. They were in 5 digit SN#'s by then. It has to be a first month of '61 to be a 3 digit.

I remember tinkering with it I was the one that got it started. Carb was pretty well shot that was on it (bowl bolt threads were broke out) so I gave him the carb that is with it now which needs some good cleaning. Runs pretty good with no smoke just no carb linkage from governer to carb and this one is not battery ignition we never scraped the area but I remember only seeing 3 numbers now if he scraped it and found more it is what it is but im 90% sure its a 3.

I called yesterday and he said serial # was 841 and have to agree with him with all the early 3 digit parts on it. It has the early stuff and the rest is all easy to find parts to fix up. Great deal for someone. I'm even :bigthink: about getting it shipped to me.
