any gamers?

Just curious if any of my fellow cub enthusiast are also gamers? I know gaming gets a bad rap but its better than drinking and doing drugs and my wife would agree. I have an Xbox 360 and an Xbox one if anybody is looking to play, I'm really looking for someone to play forza 5 and diablo with on the xbone.

I don't own games. I don't have cable or satellite TV. Like to watch movies when I have time.

I think those things are a waste of time, and money. Won't buy game systems for my kids. We don't even let them on the internet. We do have a Wii, but can't remember the last time we played it. It's more of a winter time activity, and we only have sports games, and I think Mario Cart.

No.... not a "gamer" here. Better things to do with my time. I got 5 kids that need help with homework, a nice yard, garden, broken cubs that need fixed, now crops are about ready so I'll be sitting in a combine soon..... I do not understand grown men who play video games. Just my :TwoCents: Not making a judgement call on you, I just don't get it.

Used to game quite a bit, mostly on PC but did quite a bit on the still new Xbox 360 sitting in the living room. But unfortunately, like J-Mech, life has taken that past time away from me :biggrin2: Between work, the fiance, Cubs, taking care of the new house, etc I don't find the hours available anymore to sink into it. I do kinda miss it from time to time, but it was mostly because I'd get online with a group of friends, and we'd have more fun shooting the sh.t and talking than we did gaming most of the time. It's a great activity to do with friends that don't live close by. I'd play with people from all over, guys that I'd get along great with and in many cases, ended up meeting and hanging out with.

I enjoyed FPS on the Xbox (not an Xbone, hate it when people call it that :biggrin2:). Mostly I'd play some form of COD (really got into the Zombies mode there), Halo before that. On PC, I'd play about anything. Sim games to FPS to games like Diablo, you name it.

If I still played, I'd be glad to add you! I know every once in a while a game so great comes out that draws me back in for a couple weeks of late night gaming, but not often. The only one that looks promising is the new Batman: Arkham Knight game that's on the way, but I'd have to have an Xbox One for that and I don't think that's in the cards. Oh well, probably better in the end :beerchug:

Pretty well the same here was big into fps and racing games on xbox. Still like to sit with my son every now and then and play some minecraft. But I dont get much time to play anymore with work and keeping these machines going. Prolly wont play at all once the white stuff flat I have 15 drives and a parking lot to take care of already and it never fails that a few more get added to the list. Kinda miss the forza games and then the sandbox games on pc.

I see you point of view but from 10 to 12 at night I really have nothing better to do, the kids are in bed and my wife is busy watching one of the many stupid shows she watches so I just game and surf the net. I can't work on my cubs while the kids are sleeping because any noise makes my dogs bark which wakes up the kids which makes my wife mad. Mostly I play online with friends who have moved away so most of it is just bsing and racing cars, nothing like a little competition among friends.

Xbone is just a saying for the Xbox one.

I understand that, just annoys me when people call it that is all :biggrin2:

I used to play video games....but one day I was playing one and something in my head said "you aren't accomplishing anything here." I won't knock it but on a consistent basis, it isn't for me.

I haven't played any for years. Remember having an Atari ! Pack man, space invaders , pong! Lol I did play some football games on play station my brother had in 1998( he's 14 yrs younger) but like many just don't get the appeal to anymore I have better things to do . I work two jobs try and keep up with the yard and working on my cubs. If that's what you like I do go for, just not my thing. My relaxation is turning wrenchs on my cubs! (Wife thinks I'm crazy) ! Lol

I play about once or twice a year, just to relax and spend time with some friends or with the nephew. No one likes to play games with me because I don't play for competition, just to do things to make me laugh...like wrestle with invisible wrestlers or blow each others' pigs up in Hogs of War on PS2...yeah, that's my "newest" game machine if that tells you how much gaming means to me. I just do it for a recreational outlet once in a blue moon. To each their own.

When I was working first going to grad school, I was sharing rent with some buddies and they would take their games to extremes where they were cussing out their girlfriends if they just wanted to talk to them while gaming. It was funny how dumb they were and sad how they treated others--I didn't understand how they put so much emphasis on just a game. I'd rather have some quality time with friends some other way if I could, but gaming is alright for me just a time or two a year.......guess you could say in moderation, eh?
