Anybody can Custom fit your own belt. This could be an option for us.
Check out this link. I have no ties to this product, I also have never used it. Looks like a great option for DIYers that don't want to mess with removal of extra things to replace a belt.
Looking for comments. http://www.fennerdrives.com/high_per...hpc_vbelts.asp |
Those are junk. Only work for light duty loads. Factories seem to like them, but they don't do well under heavy loads.
|
I'm glad somebody has heard of these. I was hoping for feed back good or bad. It looks like a good idea, but if it is junk don't buy one. It is not an option in my case cause I have other work to do regardless.
Thanks for the comment. |
They are OK for light duty loads and temporary use like when you bust a belt and don't have the correct belt in stock.
|
Thanks for the feed back guys. I haven't seen them before and thought if I posted about them here I could get some responses on their usefulness or lack there of.

So is the S/G belt considered light duty?

I have one on my old Craftsman table saw.
It does transmit more torque than the standard v-belt. Running 1hp anyways. They might work okay in other straight line apps like on the S/G just fine. But not for say the deck drive belt on a CC with the 90 degree twist, etc. |
it might just be me but i can tell from looking at the pic that i wouldn't trust it on a mower.
