Cub 125

This followed me home the other day. I noted it had some chrome pieces on the top of the fenders, the length of the hood, and on the front grill. Is this something someone just added or was this an option at one time? It also has a Carter Model N carb, which was something new to me.

Haven't gotten it running yet, so I'm not sure if it is a deal or a dud.

All of that extra chrome stuff is something someone added at some time that thought it would make it look good. IMO it doesn't add to the value of it and doesn't help the look of it either.

Good grab on the 125. They are one of my favorites and real workhorses.

Isn't that the highly sought after chrome package IH offered for that series?:biggrin2:

at least you got reflectors , headlights and a grill . I sold a 125 to a guy that bought it on ebay and he picked it apart should have just kept the thing

I see this all the time working in the body shop, people buy a roll of chrome trim or pinstripe and they think they have to use the whole roll. We have a customer that has pinstripe around everything on his truck and I told him one day that just because it came in a 100ft roll doesn't mean he need to use the whole 100ft.:biggrin2:

I don't think this is a stock item either.
