New member in the shop

Well, after "upgrading" to some newer machines (1864 & 2284), I decided I missed one of ol' machines from my past. It came to my option to buy by accident, but when I saw the deal, I couldn't resist. I mean, could you resist a running 129 for $140?! :biggrin2: So, tomorrow morning, a 129 will be joining my fleet, bringing the grand total to (a meagar) 4. This machine will be be for misc tasks such as hauling a cart, aerating, de-thatching, etc. I will be sure to post pics when I get this ol' girl on my land :beerchug:

Well, here it is. She smokes a bit on startup but once warmed up, runs good and strong. Now we've got to get rid of this darn rain and wintry mix so I can go play with it!! :biggrin2:

PS. Ignore the mess in the shop, it's always a work in progress :BlahBlah:

Ryan,
Nice find on the 129. Sure can't beat a runner for what you snagged her for. Congrats! Not a big fan of upright exhausts on cubs, but that setup is kinda growing on me. Makes her look like a "big" tractor. :biggrin2: Once again, congrats! :beerchug:

I agree, I wouldn't want the stack on every Cub, but having one with it for a worker is kinda cool :biggrin2:

Thanks guys! :beerchug:

Got some time to take a good look at it tonight. The oil very much needs changed, it's about as black as tar. I tightened the hydro control lever friction point and now the autonomous acceleration issue it had is gone. I also checked the rear, it was almost (and I kid you not) a gallon low on fluid!!  :bash2: :banned: :bash: I topped it off with fresh hytran until I can get the time/parts to do a full fluid/filter change and clean-out, so it'll have to do for now. Other than that, aside from being a bit rough around the edges, looks wise, I think she's a keeper. Now, I just have to find a way to tell the ol' lady about it, she doesn't know I have it yet :biggrin2:

Ryan tell her you repair this one for Mr John Do and if he don't pay you keep it or put a sign on the door with "No women allowed in this man cave" written on it! :ROTF2::ThumbsUp:

If only it were that easy!! But apparently she's got this WILD idea that she gets to park her car in the garage this winter, so she's bound to see eventually. :biggrin2: Guess I'll just tell her I have no idea where it came from, they must be breeding!!!
