POTW Issues
Guys
Regarding POTW, some of you seem to have issues with what should be a very simple procedure, so let's get with the program. First, if your going to submit stuff for POTW read and comply with the requirements in this link. http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ead.php?t=5724 Second, I'm getting tired of having to download 15MB e-mails and then resizing your pics. I just did it for the last time. Future monster files are just going to be deleted. Third, just had one guy that figured he could post his own POTW by him self, yep it went :Poof: Forth, if you have had your stuff shown 3 or 4 times don't you think that's enough? I get it you have nice stuff and your proud of it..... Last, POTW at least for me doesn't need to be a trailer queen. It's "Picture of the week" not "Show tractor of the week" feel free to send pics of the real Cubs that work to earn there keep. OK I'm done with my rant. :beerchug: |
i don't even understand this POTW stuff...seems like allot of unnecessary work for just a photo of a cub...thats probably been posted around here sometime before. be allot easier to just have people put their favorite photo in one album and say screw it to the POTW.

I personally don't submit anything to POTW because of the real name policy. Last thing I need is some future employer or random people googling my name and running into whatever stuff I've been posting around here.
POTW rant over as well :beerchug: |

I hate looking at little pics, heck, if it is gonna be POTW, make it a portrait!! :biggrin2:
A 1000 pixel wide pic, at 72 pixels per inch, photo is less than 1MB, and is FUN to look at,,, :bigthink: http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/...ps2b72d255.jpg I never bother to look at POTW, because the pics are so small,,,, OK, my rant is over,,,, Oh, yea, I forgot, :TTWWP: :biggrin2: |

Most camera and phone pic files sent as is are huge files.
They need to be opened on a device that has a pic editing program. Then do a s"ave for the web" in order to reduce the file size. We, looking at it on this site will not be able to see a difference between a 15mb and 20kb pic. Which has nothing to do to the physical size we see. (For the most part) |

There is a imaging editing program called "Irfanview". It is FREE and it will re-size your pictures all day long. Been using it for about 10 years now. Love it.
