524T trac snow blower anyone have one?

anyone have one of these machines I need to ask a few questions. Main question is about the air filter or lack of one? mine don't have one and I can't find a part number.

I would guess since it's a snow blower it doesn't have an air filter. Filters plug up on snow blowers so it's common to not have one.

ok, I was beating my head in wondering when I took it off and where I put it.

have not used it in over 2 years, just not enough snow. But the drift monster has returned to the driveway this year.

time to fire it up.

:Morning: I agree. Plus the fact that you are not blowing dirt, therefore no dust. So there is no need for one. :American Flag 1:

I've always wondered about how good the traction is with those trac drives. It would seem that the point of contact is greater so weight would be less thus less traction.

A friend of mine has one and it goes good enough that he put a sulky on the back of it, of course his driveway is smooth and level blacktop so I'm not sure how well it would pull going up a hill.

I purchased a new surplus "snow" engine when I built my woodsplitter,,,,, no air filter,,,,

I figure splitting wood does not kick up much dust,,,,,,,,,,, :bigthink:

:biggrin2:

What do you expect for $150,,,,,,,

:ExtremeFunny:

I have thought about sticking a foam "prefilter" under the cover, but, it hasn't happened, yet!! :LMAO1:

oh this trac blower is awesome. I honestly like it better than my tractor mounted blower. only thing it don't like is slush, but then no blowers like slush. I have to get some pictures of it. I don't know why I don't have any. I would like to have a bigger horse power one. Mine is a 5 hp 24" cut they make a few bigger now. I think at the time I got this I had a smaller yard and drive and didn't need the bigger one. but now I have 15X the drive I did have, so would like the big one.
