Which one to choose for the creeper gear install--Vote?
I have only 2 creeper gears, one installed on my completely restored 1000 and one rebuilt and set up for a NF. I would like to put it in one of the following: I have a partially restored original and a workman's original and a workman's 73. The 73 needs some immediate clutch work (teaser spring went to pieces). So, should my remaining creeper go in an original or my 73--which is scheduled for a restore next summer?
Thanks for your time and consideration of my situation. Cub Cadet 123 |
I picked the 73 simply because I think itd be of better use on it...also original creeper tend to be pricey. To bad ya could get ahold of a nine speed that would be awsome

If I understand your question, you want to put a NF creeper in either an "O" or a 73. There is only one choice as a NF creeper will not work in an "O". :bigthink:

Same as Jon said. I voted the 73 cause a standard NF creeper gear will not fit the original. Original creeper gears are rare and if found are pricey.

Yep,
I think you answered your own question since the creeper will only fit in one of the cubs. :beerchug: |
Thanks fellas! I suspected that but did not know. I may be in the market for an O creeper gear. Looks like the 73 will be the recipient. Now I am eager to get to my restoration of it. Someone else had white round fenders on a cub and I really liked the clean look of how that looked (sorry, I don't remember whose cub that was or I would give them credit for that neat idea!).
Thanks for taking time to respond to my thread and educating me on the creeper gear! Cub Cadet 123 |
excellent choice....I'm glad that is all cleared up now.
I would've personally chose option 3 though and said it should go on my 100 oh well, Life goes on have a good thanksgiving! |
