1862 and chains

Anyone use chains or problems on a 1862 GT. The tractor has the OEM 23-10.50-12" turf tires.
The plastic gas tank sits over both tires with about one inch of clearance. Didn't look like enough clearance too me for a set of two link med duty chains for pulling the 6' trailer out in the muddy pasture building fence.

Running two link on mine. I put them on really tight.

I run skinnys on mine with the tire chains. I didnt like how close the chains were to the fender pan and the gas tank.
