Mule Drive

The side where the arrow is sticks out the front more than the other side...Is this normal, how it was made or am I missing something? I know the center is bent and I straightened that after this was taken, but none of the welds are broken! Had me perplexed. |
Its probably not square, check the corners with a square and you'll probably find its bent in a diamond shape.

It's kind of obvious that at some point in it's life it ran into something and got tweaked a bit. A BFH and a vise and a couple love taps and you should be able to straighten it out. I just straightened one out this past summer that was in way worse shape the that. :beerchug:

If it attaches to the tractor easily I wouldn't worry about it, if it hard to attach then its bent.
|
I see what you talking about, where the U shaped part is welded to the one side of the quick attach part. It could simply have been bent a little funny at the factory and had to stick out a little farther to be welded square, I wouldent worry about it as long as it locking in on both sides when you mount it.

Hammer time...

I just worked on a mule that is straight and has that same overhang. On the same side. So I would consider that lip normal in the construction of the mule. Appears they left a little material instead of making an additional cut to the angle.
